Brightness problem

While I play a game ( W3 , CoD , etc ) the same thing happens everytime.When i press start ( go check fb and stuff like this ) and later resume playing ( press on the tool bar the games icon ) the brightness of the game automatically lowers and as aa resuly i ahve to change setttings again something really annoying especially when playing dota.
Any solution?

In some older euroloader installer there was option to instal "graphic improvement" - I have no idea what was improved but the game was brighter.
You had to disable it everytime you ran W3 or alt - tabbed to Windows by pressing alt + backspace.

I have same problem and I didnt find any solution to this. I just have to open options and click save..and it worsk then...after another tasking in windows same.

does it also take like 3-4 sec of blackscreen before game pops out?
If it is, it must be your dx drivers. If you are using 64bit windows with high resolution screen, game it self can't support this and its forcing your graphic drivers. Its something u have to deal with., and not alt tab all the time when running the game.
Remember this game is very old, and u are using new pc.
