What about losing one PSR point per day?

If the system can be made so everyone will be losing/gaining 1 PSR point per day.
If above 1500 losing 1 point, or get 1 point if the user is below 1500 until it reaches 1500.
That way the ones that are on top of the ladder would have to play and the ones that play would have the chance to get to the top if they play more.
The ones that are below 1500 would have the chance to get better score.
One point is not too much... imagine a player with a score of a 1865 would get to 1500 if he doesn't play for a whole year... it sounds fair to me.

Generally it would be good to make inactive players lose PSR.

About your idea, with some small changes it could be nice, but I doubt any of that will happen.

It doesn't have to be only the inactive players... it can be for all... it would be the same for everyone... for you, for me... the ones that are higher PSR ex. 1900 would lose 1 point, that is much more than the ones with lower ratings ex. 1550. It's not the same to lose 1 point on 1900 and on 1550. The ladder would be much more active, I'm so bored watching the same nicks at the ladder standing there forever.

Great idea,not hard to make.If you want to be first you need to get at least 1 point a day,and if you have 1900 psr it's way easier to get at least 1 psr.It would be good for inactive players

You don't need to reset the ladder... if you make this change, the ladder will filter itself with the time and there won't be a need for a resetting. The ones that moved to Dota2 will fade with the time.

Whole first page has 2200+ psr , so he will need 700days = 2years to get back to 1500, i dont think they really care!
also in that 2years, for sure we will have new seasons, so its just irrelevant!
