If it is near, I don't think it is gonna happen this year... We are destroying our world, that's a fact, and I've read yesterday that the polar ice cap will be entirely gone by the 2080 wich worries me more than anything else... If we are not gonna take care of our world, no1 else is gonna do it for us! Just imagine the pollution of our engine exausts, , the garbage that is not recycled correctly etc...

the shit  in "holy books" is bullshit at its best  (and proven by scientists at many cases with scientific facts)

imo if world is going to end then it will be cuz of overpopulation (predicted to be over 7 b in end of 2k12) , lack of food  and so on which will obviously increase the amount of crimes /etc  so world won't end on itself we will help him bigtime

The increase of population won't bring the end of the world since there is lack of food(more people will die),crimes will increase(more people will die),probably few wars(more people will die) and it will get back to normal if it happens
