Support alchemist?

Face it Alchemist is horrible carry, even if farmed he still is usually worse then most other carrys. So why not send him on a trilane? He has pretty strong stun early game and huge aoe armor reducing dpsing skill. He could lane pretty well with vs and some carry ( line with Weaver would be stomping ). On top of that in team fights he dosnt need to stand aside he can waltz in with his ulti and do some real damage.
With help of his ulti he basicaly dosnt need to go back to fountain he can roam 24/7 after 6th. And even Goblin Greed is tempting skill you can just ignore it ( like with AA's Chilling Touch ) but in late game he can catch up with some valuable items for team using it.
I know that any other support is more favoured by captains but wouldn't he bring more impact in teams that rely on physical damage rather then magical ( Acid Spray armour reduction)?

I am not saying that he isnt good. There are simply better picks on 1v1 lane. I am just pointing that he would be pretty good as support on a trilane and as roaming support.

But I didn't see overfarmed Alchemist pwning in competitive games. I have seen few games from Chinese dota where he was used as carry but even with all that money he didnt have that much impact in teamfights as a carry. He got easily outplayed by enemy team.

I'll give you a link if you want in international tour he is played as carry. Actually I think it's even by Na'Vi. And he is pwning.

O yes, a month ago (or 2) can't remember well
you pwned us with alche, farming whole game....
we were winning your comrades, but on 30-40mins you could push/kill us solo

With his 3rd passive, alchemist can outfarm enemy carries many times.
About him being support on trilane... his acid spray can damage creeps and push lane nicely(if it's used to push enemies away from creeps)
