Hey everyone,
I'm writting this post in state of a total depression from recent PD.eu games . Not that I am some sort of emo crap but here's what I've been experiencing in last two months. Its not about stats, PSR change or anything. Its about my opinion on Dota1 PD.eu community as I see it now.

I' playing dota for more than 4 years now. I dont know how many games I played over this time, 2000, 3000? Maybe more, since the old PD.eu had season resets and I ended each with more than 300 - 400 games, enough for "not a pro" player. I never intended to play a league or something, tho I played some competitive games in our region.
After PSR change, i was thrilled and played regullary to increase my rating, as well as 99% of community did. Then, about 7 months ago when I had hard time finding new job n stuff, i had a break and returned to play regullary 3 months back. And that's when everything turned to shit for me.

Something changed. People changed and that neccesarily ment the game changed too. I suddenly found myself loosing 5 games in a row for a stupid reasons (teammates failures), or simply get raped by enemy team with average stats. After two monts, I ended up with PSR below 1550, usually loosing about 7-8 games in row followed with two-three draws only to win a single game afterwards and loose 10 again. 1700 RD suddenly wasn't a guaranteed good game with mentally stable individuals.

I decided to burn down my old account and create new one. Started playing, surprisingly had fun on 1550 games, reached 1600 fast, started joining higher PSR games, went higher above 1700 and it's happening all again. I keep winning tho, but the effort to win is enormous.

I blame others.
Don't take it wrong. I dont consider myself pro, I sure do a lot of mistakes, everyone does. But I'm trying to play in that best way that ensures my/our team to win. If we have 2-3 carries (not lol), I don't pick another just cause I wanna play carry. If I play support, I play him as support, buy chick, share it and supply at least my lanemate with consumables. I dont steal kills, shit I even leave lasthits for others. If I'm facing more skilled oponent or dangerous lane, I stay the fuck back and don't go for lasthit only to loose half a HP pool and die in second attempt to lasthit.
When I join 1700+ game, I expect people behaving like this as well. But guess what - my expectations are wrong. This is what I experienced this very week.

- a phoenix player starting with bottle, finishing his HoT after 30m of game and 6 deaths on magina he was duelling on mid (at this point, bottle and HoT). Followed by blademail, Mask of Death, at that point me and one teammate just lost it, flamed him to buy at least basic boot and ordered him to def pushed top lane and not move anywhere until the end of the game, which he more or less did. On 1700+ game.
- a lina player, who - after his early core - decided that even when we were loosing in K/D ratio 1:2 it would be great to play lina as a carry (or at least confuse enemy team) and went for desolator, finishing it at 50m mark, having boots, bottle and deso. No surprise, we lost.
-a lancer player who didnt even think of diffusal blade and went basher instead
-leavers, pluggers, players/"sort of teammates" who, when loosing, plug themselves out in order to Draw. People fron enemy team(!!!) refusing to votekick OUR feeder(s) in order to feed on them and win.

On 1700+ games. And I could go on.
What does this mean? Who is to blame? Is there anyone to blame? Is this due do Dota2 release or is current stats system set like even a bad or low-skilled player will, sooner or later, reach that level of PSR where he can be considered skilled? Do you experience similar situation or am I totally out of my mind?

Seriously, people, WHAT THE F@#CK!

ps.: I know very well player's skill isn't about PSR at all. But honestly, who looks at stats these days.
pps.: I also know this has several ways out and I can hear them already - "Host your own games", "Start playing pickups", "Pub games are for n00bs", these opinions are not what I would like to see in the discussion .))

this reminds me a game played yesterday,i was weaver top lane with tauren lane team mate.he made soul ring,took most of my creeps and kills,and he didnt bought a single ward.first ward was bought at min 30+.....and he did s&y bkb etc...

thats just that way it is dude,and none can change it.

well the thing is this.


the last time you played there were only like max 5-10 people with 2000 psr ( "better" games were played in between 1750 and 1900 psr )

now almost the first three pages  are players above 2000 psr. That means that "better" games switched form 1700++ psr to 1800++ or even 1850++ games.

Still it's pain to get 1800 psr,eventually if you play 200 games you might get to 1800(ofc you got to be skilled)

Go here http://176.9.26.177/forum/index.php/board,84.0.html  post a vouch request and play test game or post 2 replays from a league or some private game, and if u get vouched you can enjoy sirious games where every1 knows their role (well almost every1)

And concerning 1700+ games, you can play a few good ones but what samir said is true, ppl continued playing when you left and they went over 1900-2000 PSR

Well you can check every1 in the game for their stats and see what kind of players they are...and it is relatively easy to get 1700 PSR and there are also a lot of map hackers nowadays even in high PSR games...

This reminds me a friend who asked me to join his "team", it wasn't serious team nor clan at all. Those were ppl from forum. My exp (don't have much of them tho) says ppl from forum are good, ppl who are active on forum are aware of these (and other) problems and are looking for solution and good games as well as you do.

Many pubs players doesn't know much coz they don't read other ppl's opinions about game play/play style of heroes etc. So no wonder if you see every1 playing Venge as carry no matter what or if you get kicked when playing support with "bad" score, they don't realize auras, wards, courier etc don't give you any assists and they see you as stupid feeder.

If you don't have friends you know personaly, find friends here, on forum.

I share same feelings, and same thoughts as u do...
I will tell u an example of 4 locked players (not really stack) who got raped by random people in pub..
We started game, went lanes, 1 guy wanted mid (forgot which hero he took,i think it was pugna) and we gave him mid, he had some "average" stats, average creep denies, k/d, cool well...
So, we started raping lanes, me and friend on bot lane, hard raped guys, but  our top lane rly had some problems..
I was silencer, i made my carry naix on bot lane, so farmed, he made armlet, midas, pt in 15-16 minutes.
(i was harrassing those guys like np, they had nothing to do except to go behind their towers lol..), so, i didnt killed a single creep, i even let all exp for naix, stood behind creeps, waiting if those guys will come (ofc they didnt had mana to do anything).
Our top lane as i said had problems, but they went back, "hug" tower, put some wards on neuts camp spot to prevent them to pull those creeps, and they was earning exp, gold, and actually killed those guys at tower.
But what happend at mid?
Guy had 0 farm, got pwned hardcore, died 2 times before 3rd minutes, with excuses : FFS STUPID TOWER, BLA BLA, STUPID CREEPS, etc u know the rest.
What was really happening, he was chasing half hp guy behind his towers!WITH PUGNA.
But well, those guys on bot lane, couldnt do anything, so they went roaming... I told pugna to dont roam on few places, cuz i have to stay and babysit naix (doesnt matter if they come to gank, i'll do my best to help him escape) and well, pugna went to gank their woods, bam died... went to gank them top, bam rushed on their towers while we was behind OUR tower, bam died... Went down solo 1v3 died... Went top again died.. mid died... Etc..
Later, when he feeded guys who LOST game before fking 10 mins...ganked us, we died... Pugna said : fcking noobs, u cant do shit, look this naix, have items cant do shit... ofc he cant do shit, cuz pugna gave them epic feed...
Later, we somehow found them, ganked them, pugna stole 3 kills from naix and other heroes who actually needs kills more than any1...
Again he stole, stole stole, he made score like 7-12...
And when we couldnt do shit later, cuz he didnt wanted to buy a single ward (i couldnt all the time, i made others farm), he told us :u fkin noobs, look yours score, stupid feeders... etc...
Its just 1 example, sad thing is, i can make you like 151251 examples of things like this, WHEN u loose cuz of 1 guy, who wants mid, or cuz of carry who makes autoattack, or worse, support who goes autoattack, or goddamned dagon...
I'll later find some games, u all should dl replay and watch it... once i almost cried cuz i couldnt believe that shit happend...

if u want decent games play with bunch of friends like most of ppls do


for example whenever i play i usualy got atleast 2 supports that would cover me in trilane

or 2 guys that would solo while im jungling ( mid and off lane)  even if u don't have ingame friends if what u said its true that u support n shit im pretty sure skilled carry players could use guy who buys wards chick lets u lh and so


and if that's not helping just play heroes that can win solo and ignore the fucking retards in ur team

Slark is your solution after u master that hero  winning solo against non coordinated pub team is like 80% chance

thanks for your feedbacks.

Not everyone is feeling the same shift in skill as I do, which was kinda expected, I supported my theory on the eventual PSR rise for every player and that the skill moved to higher PSR games (mostly), due to my break.

also idk why u complain pub games ALWAYS WAS AND WILL BE LIKE THAT

and if that's not helping just play heroes that can win solo and ignore the fucking retards in ur team

Continuously, I'm playing only two games over and over again. Quake (and its modifications) and Dota. Both due to the fact im playng it with actual people and with both I have similar experience that basically says you are screwed when playing solo. It just never worked for me well, not that I would be a bad farmer but I just refuse to stay on lane or woods for 30-40 mins, watch my team get owned and then go out somehow farmed and try to somehow win with going for RRRRrrrampage and counting on that slim chance that they will focus my weaker/dummer teammates long enough to even notice me hitting on them.

I used to play with my friends and ONLY with my friends for over 3 years when I was starting with dota, sweet university time, often we had to split into two teams simply because there were more ppl than 5 to play, and we'd be sitting next each other or next rooms with doors open, shouting, cursing and laughting on each other. Naturally, that time is over and finding cool people around to play Dota with is harder than you think - you'll get to this point eventually

This post however is responsible for quite some private messages and invitiations from you forum people to join and play some games, which I'm happy for and looking forward to it.

i play q3 too from time to time  altho my net is bad and i got around 100 fps most of the time and thats unplayble
