Agree, AVG sucks, unistall it, delete hidden folders and delete AVG's registry files, clean you computer with cCleaner.

I use ESET Nod, I also heard Avast! is good (and free).
Also depends on settings, you don't need any antivirus/firewall/whatever to check every sent packet...

I had ESET nod and it was shit didn't find any viruses, avast blocked my comp slowed it down and some other things too AVG was good for me but you can't avoid viruses with any antivirus.I suggest you get Malwerbytes and scan when you think you have viruses. But imo posting on help forums is the best thing(helps almost all ways)

Trust me, recently those "viruses" you can pick from internet are nothing much, they cant harm your pc if you know how to run your system/pc well.

So now, avast! is not good tbh, it slows pc, uses too much cpu, and causes pc lags etc, blocks programs, even if u add programs to exceptions not to be blocked, it will still be blocked.
Before, i used eset NOD, but i uninstalled it, and voila, my pc is like new..

Anyway, if u want to clean viruses from your pc, just download avira (its completely free), install it, update, search for viruses, clean viruses, remove avira, feel like a boss.
sry for offtopic, but trust me, those are really good advises if you want to run your pc at his max power. :)

AVG has better detection engine than ESET, yet runs faster. Avast is fine too, but again, might be slow...ish.

All in all, AVG and Avast! seem to be most effective among free antiviruses, AVG being little faster. Though paid Kaspersky and, I heard that also Bitdefender, win the race hands down gg wp no re.

Btw, install-scan-delete is most weird idea I ever heard.

BACK ON TOPIC, any significant progress with bugs yet? Or are you still stuck with getting reinstalled wc3 to work?
