hood question

if player buys hood for self damaging hero
like Pudge or Huskar (both flame arrows and ulti) or even Phoenix,
does it reduce the damage on self ?

also, does hood helps to reduce the Lucifers ulti even if it disables inventory ?

ye he reduced dmg for self
but for pudge its better to make vanguard and buy just clock coz clock cost just 550 gold and give + 15 % m resistance
and vang give him tank abiltys (if u watch pro replay u almost always see how pudge have vang and clock not hood)
about doom imo reduce but this question is for mythbuster div will proly anser u about doom quest.

Hood gives you magic resistance so it counts for all magics,you know that almost all builds for pudge and huskar include hood

ye coz almost 80 % games are pub/noob games and all making hood (2100 gold) 30 m resis + reg and clock 550 gold 15 res and u buy vang give u hp reg block dmg and make u rly tanking animal
better build for pudge is vanguard then just clock i think all better player will agree about this
anyway u can try both and ill see whats better

Magic resistance from hood comes from Runed Bracers. This ability is considered item ability, which is not disabled by doom. Same applies to magina's Spell Shield (runed bracers-based as well) and Pudge's Flesh Heap.

Opposed to, for instance, evasion (in any form) using unit ablity (base ability is categorised as unit ability), therefore not working when doomed.

And dobule vanguard is for nubs. (Click!)

Actually he's the one that hood helps him so he gets pipe after he's killing streaks after 25 min or 30.Which helps his team
