i won a key on playdota.com i activated it on stream and it gave me 2 things to dowload . one is dota 2 . one is named Dota 2 test . so both is 2gb . what should i do ? do i have to download it both ? and one more question. can i invite my friends ? if yes how many and how ? thanks

yes you can donwload it on anther pc , you can even share account with a friend but if he joins while you playing , you will get DC-ed btw you will be disappointing form that game , i have dota 2 key in like 2 weeks and i have played like 1 game or better half cause i left it :xD

First one is regular one. Second is test sever. All updates are first applied to test dota 2, checked for glitches, then all is applied to regular dota 2.

You might prefer non-test one. Cause of stability and much bigger number of players.

OH also, you can log to your steam account from several computers.
Just don't do it at the same time.

Get you facts straight.

Since like, beginning January, they do not give 2 bonus invites anymore, due to massive wave of scammers and trading keys for money.

It's April 27 now. May will begin in few days.

E: okay, may bad. They didn't remove bonus invites completely.

it depends on where its key from, directly from valve through steam survey or on PD.com, where they can still got the massive bunch of keys from start and they are still with gifts, cause a lot of ppl just got 1 key w/o gifts from valve...

recommended the classic beta not test, about 40k ppl so you find match pretty fast, but if you are curious about new updates you can dl even test and check updates sooner (its one day difference ) and play some games with bots, or find some private game on test with beginners so you learn the UI/HUD and all rest
