Sup, I am having trouble changing my config.dota file in Eurobattle.net folder, it says I do not have permission to do so, I am glad for any help regarding this!

Try opening it as an administrator before you make any changes. If that does not work, check under file options - tab security and make sure you as the user have the permission to edit files. Google it for the exact procedure.

Our configuration file does not support autoupdate yet. You have to add new variables manually or do the following:
1. Rename your configuration file in WarCraft III folder.
2. Update the map and launch it in single game.
3. After that, default configuration file will be created.
4. Open both configuration files with any text editor.
5. Copy all the values from the old config to the new one, minding values you changed in your old config and not overriding new lines in the new config.
6. Have fun.

Rename the config file and see if new one gets generated automatically again by the map with defaults. If it does, that should be it, changing that file should take effect.

I renamed it and no new one got generated. What do you mean by "generated automatically again by the map with defaults" ? Shall i reinstall the map or?

make sure you are looking at the correct folder, "Eurobattle.net" foder isn't it, the map (yes, the map itself, since draco has all kinds of hackery in there) creates the file in w3 1.26 dir. You can't "reinstall" the map really, if you already have it, that is it.

I renamed it in the correct War3 1.26 folder but no new file got generated automatically. Any ideas? Also will appreciate anyone who helps me with this via teamviewer or so

just try to remove the map and download it again and open it in singleplayer. idk thats what draco says

open in singel player -> map generate config and put in wc3 folder -> ??? -> profit

edit the file in another folder and then copy it, or provide editing permissions to the folder.

erm why did you put it into eubattle folder? it should be located inside your WC3's folder

The issue was that i was truly changing it in the wrong directory, but it is because i got it installed by No_Lifer_xD and he set gateway into an extremely funny folder named Program Files/VladanINVOKER/WC??BNET/etc ...
I would have never found it was it not for antlermanxxl coz at the moment this comedy guy No_lifer_xd was installing it into my pc i was too high and totally forgot about the funny gateway he set there. :D
@AntlermanXXL Sup, did u delete my RGC dota.config file? Coz i cannot find it xD
