Why the bloody hell some interesting, but old threads are closed?

That first post design is pretty nice, i was about to comment / update something, but thread is closed :-(
And there are many closed decent threads for no reason
This is only one latest example that made me finally start this thread
Maybe, it is according to rules, but i still have no idea why would we just kill some decent conversations, drown them in the past :/

I don't think it makes sense to open it, since the first post is outdated and the topic starter is inactive. Better start a new thread instead and write your thoughts there with a link to that one.

I agree about old interesting threads but bringing them back by unlocking will probably not work
