Ever thought about forming a Dota league here on LA where the main focus would not be on individuals, but on teams. Same as existing individual psr ranking, but focused on teams.

Everyone could form up a team and play, like 5 main players + 2 subs. There would be regulations on player transfers from one team to another, the player can't join another team while the season is in progress. Games would be played on weekends, the season lasts for 6 - 8 months. Captain mode.

We could easily make 4 or 5 teams during the start as the trial period and increase it over time as the popularity grows. When we gather 10 teams, the league can officially start.

Very interesting idea, so it would be the same way as on ESL?

It is planned to add 5v5 tours with teams gathered over 1-2 weeks, basically the same thing you are proposing but on a smaller scale and with PSR rewards. As for permanent teams (in form of user groups on forum), maybe there is a way to arrange it, will research for the possibilities

i made this Happen 3 Years ago, it is called battlegrounds, same idea, it worked , we played , it was good , when i left Staff, it fell apart.
It would be good to Revive it.

Exactly like ESL. Instead of tournaments, where we could form up a new team every tour, try to make it a league, the season that lasts over the entire year, it will surely be more popular.

As for the PSR awards, to stray off the individual PSR ranking system, and add something new, it would be an entirely different bot with its own separate rankings for the teams. Like Wendy for SS.

The individual ranking system and it's rewarding would not be removed, this would have been just added as extra.

Well, there is a little problem here: how will you enforce only preset teams to join the game? Even if there are 2 captains deciding who will play, a random guy can still slip in, in case 1 person is missing and they still want to play. Also, the captain/host could stack together with other players to boost his team's ranking.

Well, team members would be made public before the season start, and they can only use those accounts to play. If one of the team members can't make it to the game, there are 2 subs, also publicly known. Captains can also arrange to postpone (the game must be played till the Sunday evening) or auto-forfeit. Under no circumstances would there be allowed sneaking in players outside the original crew, coz the league would soon lose its purpose. These are just the ideas on top of the head. I'm sure if we gather few more people and go into 1 channel to brainstorm, we can come up with an awesome league.

Sure, we can meet on channel.

The system you are suggesting is based on people having good intentions, but i'm sure there will be individuals who will abuse it to boost their ranks. Its a lot of work to keep track of games in a system like this. But i think we could arrange it the way jimmy said: with presence of a judge (tour moderator) who would ensure that the match is played fair and with the right players.

Aint gonna happen

. You cant make such a thing on this server in 2018. Problem is that u will have 2 team active at that time when u need to play even that is hard + you will all make some good stack so ppl will leave. Better revive ss, and make something like that there? Oh forgot there is no ss games, sometimes only. If you cant have league based on random balance, u wont even make 2 teams ( clans ). Maybe that could happen before 5 years there was ihrl, ss, and even balkan was active. I suggest you only when u gonna update new map make 2 gateway, cuz a lot ppl cant even play old one and would not like the new one cuz its like d2 and is totaly differetn game almost, its not easy to change map awareness.

Soon we will have 5v5 tournament where you will have 7 days to assign your team and to pick a date when you will play your match ( talk with other team and make a deal ).
