Even if the camera feature doesn't remove the fog, zooming out brings benefits. For example you don't need to constantly watch the minimap if you can see broad surroundings, or even the whole map. You have more info at the hand by having zoomed-out camera.

Benefitial to all those who zoom out seems fair to me, lol
